We have used a queen size Travasak since the late 80s which I imagine is similar to a Bed Maid. Unfortunately, Travasak is out of business they are no longer available. The Travasak has a summer side and a winter side with real sheets inside attached with Velcro and are easily removable and washable. It's a no hassle way to make up the bed in the overhead bedroom of a truck camper. My wife hasn't struggled with bed making in a camper in nearly 30 years. Bill

Grumpa, I have to think there is something going on with your cover - agree, take it back under warranty. In your photo it looks almost like dry rot. We're in the second winter of using our ADCO cover, and we don't have anything like that. We do have a hole worn in the driver rear corner, but that's because I haven't padded it well enough. I looked online and Amazon carries the Atwood 'Power Guard' Battery Case so does Wal-Mart. After struggling to put mine in and Frankenstein-them into submission I don't like they look. I'm covering the TT in the morning until March or April, so over the winter I'll get some angle iron and fabricate a new one, or modify the existing one. I was planning to call Bill Fox on Monday just to ask what battery box was used to fabricate his brackets. Now I know that the Atwood fits like a glove.

I just purchased an 1172. I have it mounted on a 2014 RAM 3500 dually. I do have a sway bar and air bags installed. I was only able to drive the camper home and then put it away for our WI winter. I am thinking of putting on the stable loads. Do I need upper and lower? Thanks

I ride with a reasonable facsimile for the upper and lower stable loads and it works well. I found my air bags caused most of my sway issues, so I do not inflate them.

We have a safety incentive program at work and for every month we work without injury (or killing a foreman) we get a prize. The prize gets bigger with every consecutive month that goes by without injury. Late last fall the company gave everyone one of those clam screen tents. Recently purchased a Hutch Mountain propane conversion kit for one of our two Honda gens. Anxious to install and gauge performance. Used one of two gens during a trip to Grand Canyon this past summer. Camping at higher elevations we found we did not need the 2nd gen since no A/C was necessary. We also use our gens as backup power for our home. We can run critical home circuits on one gen. Being able to tap into our 400 gallon propane heating supply makes this very handy for extended power...
