Re: Honda EU2000i Generator Review

Bruce R. ·
I recently sold another type of small motor Honda that has been beat on, neglected, and abused in harsh environments for over 30 years! (Only about 10 years by me) I think I changed the oil 3 or 4 times in that 10 years. Bike didn't cost me much, and I just wanted to ride. Found out when I was selling it that I had cracked the frame (1985 Suspension technology ain't what it is today) but that motor simply will... not... die. Yeah, I think you'll get your money's worth out of your Honda.

I'm impressed that it fits in the group 29 boxes. I may upgrade when my Grp 29s die.

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet

Now that I've had the unit in use for a full year perhaps I can finish my review. The Nature's Head works by separating liquids and solids. The liquids are very high in nitrogen. You can pour them into any toilet. (Or around trees.) The solids are dried. As they dry, the bacteria die off. All that is left is fiber. The solids can go into the landfill. Mine looked so innocuous that I used them as a soil amendment for a tree I was planting. The head is very easy to use and maintain. Due to the...

Re: WeBoost (Wilson Electronics) Drive 4GM Cell Signal Booster

TJeeper ·
First time I have needed a boost to get data, here parked alone Rockhouse Rd near Borrego. Unwrapped the weboost and stuck the antenna up on the truck hood. Inside, went from almost nothing to 4 bars of 4G. This will be really nice up in the mtns of Colo, where signals go to die. I like it. New project on my list, a permanent installation. Now, how to get the coax thru the roof?

Re: Micro-Air Easy Start--install and 2000 watt Generator

I guess we have different perspectives on cost. I was thinking in terms relative to the cost of the trailer and to the overall cost of the solar/lithium/inverter package. I just looked at AM Solar and a Magnum 3000 Hybrid was 2239 and a 2000 non Hybrid was 1735, for a 504 difference. I think that difference is larger than it should be as I only paid 1700 for my 3000 Hybrid; but the AM Solar example is likely the worst case. When I bought mine I would only have saved 300.00 going 2000 watt...

Re: Lithium battery worth it?

fpmtngal ·
I agree with Randy - how often are you going to be camping without shore power? That’s the primary question to be answered when deciding between lead acid and lithium. There’s another part of the equation when it comes to replacing a dead battery - why did the original battery die? There are all sorts of reasons why batteries die and it would be helpful to know how yours died, before deciding what type of battery to buy. I went back and saw that you are new owners of a 2020 1475, so you...

Re: ADCO Trailer cover for 2017 1685 TT

vegask ·
I just had the ADCO 36839 die on us, was using it on a 2019 1575. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09HR9GRYS Did not even make it through the 3rd winter. The stitching had all but disintegrated and the grey sections of the cover were brittle. We had a wind storm last week and it was toast. Was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a brand other than ADCO that is worth trying?

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet

I thought I'd chime in here. DW and I have used our Nature's head for four years. It's been fantastic! I'll reiterate @kaypee's cogent comments. I couldn't possibly imagine doing a water flush toilet, loading a black tank, traveling with several hundred pounds of you know what, and then waiting in line to dump the stuff. I can do the NH maintenance when and where I want to. This is my most recent post about the NH composting toilet. https://community.lanceowners....a-new-twist-series-2 I...
