Re: Informal Lance Get Together at Woods Canyon Lake AZ "Aspen Campground" - June 2018
Donna and I had a great time, even though we had to leave early. Was glad we got to meet everyone. Hope to see everyone in the near future. Got the trailer back from Tom's today, repaired Frig. It required a new controller board (normally takes two weeks if order (but they took one from another unit). They also had to replace the CO/Gas detector (it kept alarming). The Generator did not work any better back here in the valley, so I used the Costco liberal return policy and got a full refund.

Advanced Elements Lagoon 2 inflatable recreational tandem kayak
We've hemmed and hawed for 7 years or so on getting a kayak. Hard shell? Sit-on-top? Inflatable? Transporting? Solo or tandem? ?? We've rented at least 20 kayaks over the years and still couldn't make up our minds. In fact GRUMPA, BMJ, myself, and a few others have gone around and around about the subject here on LOA for 4 or 5 years. GRUMPA & BMJ both bought inflatables - Sea Eagle's (sweet kayaks!) - while we kept languishing over the choices and our needs. Well, we finally decided to...

Re: schwintech
Tough audience. Early 2015 Lance 1172's use Schwintek slides. Later model 2015 Lance 1172's and 2016 Lance 1172's use a Schwintek on the rear slide and a Happijac slide system on the side (dinette/frig).

Re: Starbucks Ice Trays
You're most welcome. A quick follow-up. Because they are made out of a rubbery material, they're a bit tricky to fill and place in the freezer. Also, if you fill the crushed ice tray by just pouring water into it, the level may be too high to accommodate the lid. When I put the lid on, it squirted out some water. When I slid them into my home freezer, some water spilled out because the shelf was not completely flat and level. So, these trays are not as forgiving as a regular, hard plastic...

Re: Camco Insect Screens on new 2021 Lance 2285
I installed some screen wire under my propane tanks because, a pesky Wren kept building a nest in there. I put screen wire inside the frig vents, but because of cooling issues, I removed it. Don't have one on the heater vent, but this post reminded me, I should. Thanks for the post.

Re: E- Bikes on the Horizon?
So, it turns out the combination of my bike’s weight (70 lbs.), my weight (~270 lbs.), and the lonnggg downhill runs on our neighborhood’s steep roads are too much for my bike’s stock brakes (180 steel rotors, front and rear, plus organic resin brake pads). Additionally, the stock knobby off-road fat tires are very noisy and have relatively high rolling resistance. I’ve ordered larger (203 mm) fin-cooled rotors, semi-metallic brake pads, and street tires for my bike; I expect all parts to...
