Re: 2014 MidWest Truck Camper & Friends Christmas Party; Branson, MO
You know what... Even though we're a small and intimate group and I know everyones name, I feel a name tag is in order. It was suggested in another post for another rally that a name and also the LOA user name be included. I now believe Jumbo Jet is Jim. I'll have to confirm.

Re: POO-POURRI Toilet Spray
Jim, I fully understand your view point. But can I assume you use some 'Black Tank' treatment like most of us? We also try too use a minimal amount of water in the bowl, just enough to create a water block to fumes in the tank escaping. Well Poop- Pourri acts as a secondary barrier to control fumes, even with a minimal amount of water and in as much a Very Small amount of Poop Pourri! It's a double down on Black Tank odors! Or a Win-Win odor fighter!! Happy Campers BobnRobin

Jim, thanks for your reply. I'm sorry to hear about your evacuation situation, but it sounds like things are working out ok for you. My brother was on evacuation Alert for the McCourtney fire and Lobo Fire near Grass Valley, but those passed him by. Two years ago a fire came to about a 1/2 from his house. The West is a mess this year. You're installation of the Victron was just what I was looking for. Your 1575 tips are fantastic for the rest of us 1575 owners.

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet
I saw them all a while back. I showed them to my DW last night. We are leaning toward Natures Head. It appears to have more what we are looking for. The big issue for me is can it easily convert to allow the liquids to dump into an on board tank. I'll probably end up calling when I get a chance. A few of the youtube videos we watched last night showed toilets that I wouldn't want to use. One was absolutely were filthy, and so was the language of the hostess.

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet
@Jim, you said: Once the fiberglass is in place the toilet can be hooked up to the venting, and a pipe installed to the urine collector that would lead to a drain pipe connected to the gray tank under the sink. Am I understanding correctly that you're suggesting draining the urine collector into your gray tank along with other waste water created when washing dishes, showering, etc.? Shouldn't you then always dispose of your mixed "gray" water in a human waste repository? Otherwise, gray...

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet
Jim, I think you could accomplish your mod. What you would need to do would be to buy two liquids jugs. Modify one of them by inserting a bottom drain. From the bottom drain you'd connect the line. You'd have to drill out the bottom side of the main unit and make a slit about 2 times the height of the line. Then you'd need to rout out a bit of the floor to accommodate the line as it feeds back under the head to drain into the black tank. The Oatey plug that you'd use to cap the tank will...

Red Barchetta Your a lucky guy! Amazon.com won't ship this tent to my address, Amazon.ca doesn't list it, Basspro also won't ship, having a heck of a time finding it for this neck of the woods. And here I wanted to spend some money. Also birthday wishes to the wife Jim

Jim - That is a bummer. If you feel like making a run to the October rally in California I'd be happy to pick one up for you. Seriously though, that has to be annoying when you have the money to spend, but can't get anyone to ship to you. Thanks for the birthday wishes (speaking of, she doesn't know that I snuck away for a minute to post ). Next time you find yourself down in Toronto be sure to stop by a newly named park ( ): http://www.thestar.com/news/gt...in_their_honour.html
