Re: Princess Craft Truck Camper Rally, April 6-9, 2017

Doug, aka Atchafalaya Man ·
The PC rally is open to anyone who is interested, regardless of ownership or type of RV or membership in any group. Some don't even have a camper. The Princess Craft owners just love TCs and thus the TC oriented rally. Last year, we ended up with about a dozen LOA members there. It is a party with lots of other brand and size campers there. One of the events is 'open house' afternoon where owners allow groups to view their mods and camper layouts. It's almost worth going just for that,...

Thanks for the info. That looks like a good deal. The biggest challenge for me will be finding music that the DW and I both like - we don't like the same kind of music usually. We've been married for 33 years but are opposites in many ways.

Marcia @acmaintainer and I sorta talked about going after we cancelled our plans of attending the Cape Breton Island NS Celtic Music Fest. Several truck problems have us turning south now.

I'm curious to know.........if you're running either devices (phone dependent), does it allow you to play music from the library on your phone through the TV? I think I know the answer but figured I'd get real world, hands on opinions.

Yes it does Randy. However, I prefer to connect my phone (using the 3.5mm jack cable) to the Jensen stereo for music. No need for the tv in the equation.

Aahh, I see. Yes, if you want to play a music video then yes, play it through the tv. Just like a movie stored on your phone or in the cloud, Netflix (with a subscription), MLB game (if you have an MLB subscription), ...

We combined all our music on one scandisk Cruiser Glide 3.0 (256GB). Us two love birds of 37 years, have 180º out tastes. She's younger and from the NW, I'm an older Texan. She likes country, and I like anything that has a beat and makes you move. We have a 2020 TT1985 with the Jensen A/V system. Just plug the flash drive into the USB slot, select the mode, adjust the volume and salsa away!

Sandisk Cruzer Glide 64GB USB Drive

Simon & B ·
It's a cheap USB 2.0 'thumb' drive. We have all our music, radio plays and spanish lessons on it. It plugs into the dash on our tow vehicle, and the radio recognizes what it is, and knows what's on it, down to artist, album and track. No more compilation CDs of mp3s, no more shuffling around trying to find *that* song. It's all there, on one little thumb drive. We've used it a lot this trip, when we've been out of cellular data and radio range. Love it

Re: Ultra-Fab Phoenix 4000 tongue jack

Chris Turner ·
I moved the grounding point to the frame per your example, and it still did not work. My wife and I took the Lance to a music festival over Labor Day weekend, so I had to use the manual crank to hook and unhook the trailer. I found that it wasn't terrible if I used a breaker bar, even though because we use the Andersen hitch, you need to go up and down an extra time to tension the chains. In what I hope is the final chapter of this story, I called the manufacturer and recounted my story to a...

Hi Chris - Not sure if you ever straightened out the retraction issue on your jack. I was wondering if calibrating it might get it working correctly. On the 3rd page of the instruction manual there is a section "CALIBRATION METHOD TO SET TRAVEL LIMITS" https://ultra-fab.com/wp-conte...RUCTIONS-r051519.pdf Maybe that might help get it to fully retract? Re: Garmin 1095 RV GPS

Slotown ·
@sequoia464 my truck is a 2002 F350. It came with an AM/FM and cassette. I replaced it with a Kenwood that has Android Auto. I have a difficult time seeing the screen during the day light hours. If I put sunglasses on it's just impossible. I am very disappointed in the Kenwood because of this. I now only use it to listen to music. I do NOT recommend Kenwood because of this. The Garmin is perfectly clear regardless of sun orientation.
