Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)

DirtDawg Jeff ·
^^^ Joe, I too stole the suggestion of that Trojan battery for my 1475. The NOCO HM318BKS box I chose (same as BrianV as confirmed with him) fills up that box completely while not having porous vent holes on top to collect water.

Re: Smarter Tools 2000iQ Generator

I have owned two of these since May 2014 and have used them several times boondocking. On a recent trip in early September, it was 19 degrees one morning at 7800 ft altitude, and the generator started with 3 pulls and ran just as it should. I bought 2 because I wanted to be able to run the A/C boondocking if I want to, and could not mount a larger 4000W generator that I had when I bought my 2014 2385 on this TT's rear bumper (too wimpy a bumper). The two cost me less than one Honda or Yamaha...

I completely agree -- use 87 octane non-ethanol fuel, run the carburator dry when the generator isn't going to be used for awhile and put in fuel stabilizer. There is nothing to be gained with higher octane, but there is something to lose with ethanol. It does indeed collect water over time. The right stabilizer will help but why take the risk. I've gotten into the habit of using non-ethanol fuel for all my small engine needs. An interesting sidelight -- I have a 2010 Polaris ATV that was...

Bicycles are like canoes and kayaks. There are many makes and models with different price ranges and quality, serving different purposes. There is not a one size fits all. First decide on the type of riding you intend to do. We started with hybrid bicycles. Not especially great for road riding or mountain biking but they got us out and where we wanted to go...mainly short distances riding comfortably upright on both pavement and dirt and a workout on longer distances. And, the gearing was...

Re: Why you want the Honda EU2200i Companion

satek60 ·
The receptacles are 20 amp. Page 12 of the manual.(or look at the plug-NEMA 20 amp ) No need for the companion unless you are paralleling 2 generators or like the twistlok 30 amp plug.

Re: Dehumidifier

We run a ProBreeze mini pretty much all the time, usually keeping it on the floor by the stove. We also often run a small EvaDry EDV-100 in the bathroom. https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod...le?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We often place Reflectix sheets on the inside of the windows, but when it gets extra cold that doesn't seem to stop the condensation. On those nights I will also put Reflectix sheets on the outside of all the windows. I use velcro to keep them in place. The DampRid hanging bags also seem...
