Grumpa, I have to think there is something going on with your cover - agree, take it back under warranty. In your photo it looks almost like dry rot. We have a Bedmaid too. It's especially handy when folding up the bed and opening the sofa. It would be even nicer if they offered sheets with a higher thread count.
