Advanced Elements Lagoon 2 inflatable recreational tandem kayak

Red Barchetta ·
We've hemmed and hawed for 7 years or so on getting a kayak. Hard shell? Sit-on-top? Inflatable? Transporting? Solo or tandem? ?? We've rented at least 20 kayaks over the years and still couldn't make up our minds. In fact GRUMPA, BMJ, myself, and a few others have gone around and around about the subject here on LOA for 4 or 5 years. GRUMPA & BMJ both bought inflatables - Sea Eagle's (sweet kayaks!) - while we kept languishing over the choices and our needs. Well, we finally decided to...

Well, we made it. There is a sea of RV’s here, every shape, model & size. Most seem to have a toy trailer and golf cart! Lots of Lance’s too! i think we will have sore legs by the end of the day!

Re: Smarter Tools 2000iQ Generator

BigE, that's great that only one 2000iQ will run your A/C at 2600'! However, as you point out, altitude will impact it. While the specifics depend on engine type (2 cycle vs 4 cycle) and carburated vs fuel injected, a rough figure is about 3% power loss per 1000 ft elevation from sea level. It isn't exactly linear at lower altitudes, but when you get up to 6000-7000 ft, it is very noticeable. For example, my 2000iQ runs my 900W microwave (that's output in the microwave; the input power is...

Not especially great for road riding or mountain biking but they got us out and where we wanted to go...mainly short distances riding comfortably upright on both pavement and dirt and a workout on longer distances. And, the gearing was...

Re: Why you want the Honda EU2200i Companion

satek60 ·
The receptacles are 20 amp. Page 12 of the manual.(or look at the plug-NEMA 20 amp ) No need for the companion unless you are paralleling 2 generators or like the twistlok 30 amp plug.

Re: Blackstone 17" review and question

jarheade6 ·
I had successfully used my Blackstone in many places without a screen. Then we went to the beach at Galveston. Our site backed up to the gulf and you know what that means. Constant sea breezes. I used leveling blocks and anything I could for a wind screen. Immediately when home I bought sheet metal and piano hinges and made a three sided wind screen. I did a post on it somewhere here. My take on the 17 inch Blackstone is it is the piece of equipment you love to hate. It’s a pain to carry, I...
