Re: Swagman RV Ladder Bike Rack
Been using this same rack for 3 years on our 2285. No issues. Do add a strap around the bikes and the upper ladder rung for extra support. Also did do two mods to make it more secure. One, a plywood face plate that slides onto the step behind the rack and provides a large contact area for the two foam bumpers instead of the bumpers sitting on the knife edge of the step. Two, straps that hold the rack tight to the ladder. Nylon webbings and two buckles from Home Depot.

Re: Torklift International PowerArmor Solar – product and installation review
HAMSTERS!!!!! Great install report, Mike! Nice to see the new-generation 1575 has a wide battery bracket/tray to accommodate Torklift's PAS box. Much simpler to deal with than our first-gen. 1985!!! [slightly too narrow and close to the nose - req'ing any of several less simple options - see here: Torklift's New Power Armor Solar Battery Box ]. Still curious how and whether these PASes will fit onto the tongues of the other new-gen. Lances, what with the recessed battery tray under the new...

Torklift International PowerArmor Solar – product and installation review
A short while back someone asked what mods we would be looking to make in 2016. I mentioned I would like to make secure my two 12v Interstate batteries that are sitting on the tongue of our 1575. Shortly afterwards I was contacted by Kerstin at Torklift International who asked if I would like to evaluate one of their PowerArmor products for free. Of course I was more than happy to do so. I know that Plance has already documented a similar install but wanted to share my experience. Hopefully...

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet
I have to agree that the Wynn's perkiness can be a bit much. Even when they're saying some pretty harsh things about the way RVs are manufactured it comes across as rough as if an extra ice cube was perhaps in order for the iced tea served at lunch. To give them the credit, several of their videos have piqued my interest. They have some nice information on solar and inverters. And they are self proclaimed "poop experts." Composters have a really bad reputation up here from pipeline...
