Hello, My husband & I just purchased our Lance Camper 1191 this weekend and have recently become LOA members! This forum stuff is all new to me, but I'll give it a shot! Anyways, I was excited to see that there will be a rally in January 2014 at Lake Solano Park.. this is great because it's near where we live! Hi Allen/Allenc, Welcome to LOA and glad to hear that you are going to join us! This rally will be a great place for you to gain some good knowledge about your new 2285. Let me know how many nights you will be staying. For now I will put down 2 nights until you confirm. This thread that you have posted in is the calendar thread which is fine, but it also is sort of a goofy thread that doesn't show up in "Recent" posts or discussions on the main LOA forum page so posts can get lost or missed...

Hi Engunir, The rally will probably only have Lance owners and anyone else who is interested in Lance are always welcome to stop by or camp with us! We don't have any vendors scheduled, but they're always welcome. Our knowledge base is pretty experienced, so if you or any attendees have any questions we are always there to answer any questions. To date, we have a whale watching trip planned and then there are always wine tasting trips, potluck dinners and such. We also plan on driving at...

This is very new to us. We are so excited and can't wait to get our trips going. We live up in Sonoma county (wine country) so there are many great camping site with in 1-2 hrs from out home. Looking forward meeting new people and learning all we can about RV camping.

Wow, all I can say is what a great group of people!! I had the pleasure of spending a night fireside at Pismo with this wonderful group and just got done telling Jack Cole (Lance President), how gracious and fun they were to hang with. I brought the all new 1052 with the ultraDECKplus bumper and think engunir might want to add this model to his Lance fleet! It would be great if someone (you know who you are) would start to build a timeline for all the events and meals and stuff like that, both optional and 'you can't get out of it' kinda things. We ask, because at some time, we're going to have to semi-plan for meals not catered (such as private times and pot lucks) and time not being spent with the group. FYI: I met with Ron today. Their new to them 2011 1985 is in great shape. We went over some basics operational items. A lot of the questions brought back memories of when I was a new owner. I have offered to go camping with them (aka: a really small LOA gathering). :-) And......of course I showed him where the low point drains were located....as that was one of my first questions when joining the forum. LOL We had a great time and look forward to meeting up with Ron in the near future.

Oh NO!! The date will not work for us, we have High School Graduation that week and will not be able to attend. That is a beautiful park, we stay there often (went there right after the first of the year) and I know you will all enjoy your stay. If you like seafood I would recommend the Newport Cafe, small place but great food. Happy Camping everyone. Bryan and Tanna

I thought I already replied but I'm looking and don't see it.... Sorry for the delay. These are non-electic (hook-up) sites. The camp ground has a number of locations within the camp ground to fill up with potable water so that's nice and on the way out there is a dump site for $7.... Generators are allowed, we carry one just in case but reply on our solar panels, love the solar panels! Each site has a paved pad, a picnic table, a grill and fire pit. If we don't get a good amount of rain...

We took a little ride to the Rim today, got some great photos! Although the Aspen CG is closed, the trails are open and we hiked around CG and Lake. Lots of fishing going on today! Not sure if anyone caught any. Ran into a small herd of young elk, the girls had fun. Our campsites look great! Lots of shade! Here’s a few pics of our view.

Lew...are you going to have your new camper by then? That would be great...maybe we can convoy up together! When are you planning to arrive? SLR...great pics and beautiful area? Are you camping up in the area or did you just drive up for the day? Rob...when I checked this morning there were a couple sites left around where you mentioned. We will certainly have our two little ones with us (11 & 8) so I hope that will be ok with everyone? Are there any others with children that are going?

Don't miss out on a chance to share your new trailer and absorb a lot of info from other Lance owners! Come up a bit early (like in the previous posting) and get yourself a site for the weekend. It's a great place to "break in" your new trailer!

I arrived in Mesa a bit after 1pm. When I hooked up to electricity, everything is working great - except the refrigerator. I've run some checks with the help of Rick at Lance Service and it looks like I have a circuit board failure. I phoned Tom's Camperland and they will not work on a unit that wasn't sold by them! Bad on Tom's Camperland!!!! And Camping World would have to order the part - a three week wait! Looks like I'll be heading back to Yuma tomorrow morning. If anybody wants to come...

Wow, sorry to hear that... I'm surprised about Tom's, we have been going there for years and they always take care of us. I would think warranty work no matter where the rig came from would not be an issue! I'll have to find out what their policy is. CALL ME 480-250-5332 Got 2 good repair companies here in the valley that work on Lance and do warranty repairs. Wow, I’m sitting here on the last night of the Woods Canyon Lake trip and thinking I don’t want to go back the the valley. Met some truly great people, laughed a lot, got a lot of photos to be posed here. Thanks to everyone that made the trip. Without all of you the memories wouldn’t be the same. Donna and I had a great time, even though we had to leave early. Was glad we got to meet everyone. Hope to see everyone in the near future. Got the trailer back from Tom's today, repaired Frig. It required a new controller board (normally takes two weeks if order (but they took one from another unit). They also had to replace the CO/Gas detector (it kept alarming). The Generator did not work any better back here in the valley, so I used the Costco liberal return policy and got a full refund.
