B-D RV Battery Lock (12-volt)

Red Barchetta ·
B-D RV Battery Lock: http://www.b-drvbatterylock.com/   Even though I/we have never ever had an issue with a battery "walking away" in the 15+ years that we have been trailer camping I have been intrigued whenever I would see this simple battery...

Great Anti Corrosion and Lube Product

Doug P ·
Oops, I had originally posted this in the wrong Forum area... A fellow Lance member pointed me to the correct Forum..... I wanted to share this product with fellow Lance owners. About 20 years ago I came across this product at a bike show for lubricating parts on a racing bike. I have used this product ever since to lubricate and protect about anything that is made out of bare metal. This product was developed for Boeing aircraft to lubricate and protect metal hinges and other items on an...

Boeshield T-9 sounds like snake oil! I have to buy some as I’m an easy sale for this kind of stuff. Thanks!

Re: Great Anti Corrosion and Lube Product

I second the mention! Been using it on my mountain bikes for years. Dry season I use it every other ride. Wet season - like now - I use it before every ride. Super muddy ride yesterday up in Annadel SP. Bike is a mess, but not my chain & mechanisms. Will be spraying it on again this afternoon before my ride. Posting tip - You might consider putting the product name in the thread title.

I would put the T-9 on after your ride and allow it to set up for 3 or 4 hours... See how this compares to putting the T-9 on b4 your ride...Thanks for the Tip on putting the product name in the thread title....

The Walmart price for 4 oz. ($9.99) is definitely less than Amazon for 4 oz. I paid $18.99 for the 12 oz can plus free shipping from Amazon.

Jeff, just curious to hear your opinion...do you think this stuff could be used on the Schwintek Slide mechanism instead of the dry lube with PTFE? I like the fact that it sticks well to the parts coated but am concerned with the paraffin wax as the main lubricant.

How would this stuff work in a warm humid tent, on a bare ice frozen lake floor, with door zippers freezing shut from high humidity?

I would think that the waxy nature of the semi dried base would make a good lubricant for the slide... Here is the web site: https://boeshield.com/why-boeshield/

Randy - My thought is the same as yours. I'm sticking with the Schwintek-suggested CRC ptttttttfffffffffffeeeee spittle, er PTFE spray for the slide-out. Still have at least half a can left even after 4.5 years of every-3-months use.

Sounds like it would work on a lot of marine applications. Thanks for the tip.

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs

Red Barchetta ·
Tried out the system this morning - everything was quick, simple, & accurate. I first checked all tires with my high-end tire pressure gauge. I then had the system learn all 4 tires. The pressure on all 4 tires was spot on against my gauge. Again, we have 4 trailer tires (with load range & the desired psi) - 1. Driver's side (load range D, 62) 2. Passenger side (load range D, 62) 3. Main spare under the TT (load range D, 62) 4. Extreme emergency spare for longer trips that will ride...

A few final mentions until our next trip - Came up with a better labeling system - white labels inside the sensor caps. Put a reminder in my Google calendar for August 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, & 2022 to place an order for the free replacement batteries & O-rings. Everything is put away in the supplied pouch in the TV waiting for the next trip. The manual (with receipt, proof of purchase card, & notes for the current battery installation date and the 4 sensor assigned locations) is...

Smash and Grab Product Review

Buckmountain ·
It drives me nuts when I see a news report about flash mobs attacking big box stores and stealing hundreds of items with impunity. Recently LOA covered the topic of catalytic converter theft. Another major law-breaker problem is smash and grab where perps break car windows and quickly exit with valuables. Unfortunately, RVers often carry some pretty expensive stuff: GPS, TPMS monitors, digital cameras/GoPro, tools, camping/fishing/hunting gear, extra cash, etc., i.e., a target rich...

@fpmtngal , can the Flagpole Buddy be locked to deter theft?

Re: Starlink Mini

fpmtngal ·
Not that I know of, and if you could somehow lock the pole, that would not stop someone from climbing up to your roof and taking the antenna off the pole. I don’t worry about the Gen 2 or 3 because the antenna won’t work without the matched router, which I keep inside. Someone could grab the antenna but they would also have to break into the trailer to get the router since it won’t work without any other one. I’m not sure that the Mini would be any more usable if stolen - the router...
