Propane tank on truck camper
I have a new 2022 1172 camper. The 2 seven gallon tanks have a single port. I saw on a review a tank with 2 ports, one for the gas connection and a second with a gauge. Or, any suggestions for a gas gauge that will fit the single port tank and still allow enough room to close the door. Also, any experience with getting the tanks filled without having to take them off the camper?

The new 1172 truck campers have portable 30 lb tanks? Wow, that’s kool. I could boondock a lot longer with those. I only have 20 lb tanks on mine so don’t know about obtaining 2 port types; never had the need so never looked for any. Being portable tanks,,, I think it’s required to remove them for filling but I’m not certain. I moved the regulator to the back of the propane compartment on our 1062. I can slide the tanks in-and-out with MUCH less hassle. Good luck with your search. Dave

Run the left one empty and refill once it changes over. Left one, is normally easier to access and change out, if you're a lefty, you may find right one easier. It's hard enough to get tanks filled correctly, nowadays. I'd just take it off, for refilling. Many change out 30lb for 20lb tanks, because of weight. Unless...

Saw this on a video reviewing a 2020 1172. We have a 2022 1172 on a RAM 3500 dually. Working on my signature.
