Had a nice, relaxing trip up to Collins Lake this weekend. The lake level was down and the weather was cool but the DW limited out on trout (as usual)! Met up with Loanshark and friends (really nice folks). Compared notes on our Lance trailers and overall had a very relaxing weekend. Truly wish we could make it to the Northern CA LAO rally in January but, due to prior commitments, we won't be able to. Did see one other Lance TC at Collins and a couple on the road on the way home.

Hello, My husband & I just purchased our Lance Camper 1191 this weekend and have recently become LOA members! This forum stuff is all new to me, but I'll give it a shot! i missed the online booking window...late as usual! i'll probably come up thursday and leave saturday. i'd hate to arrive friday on a holiday weekend and find all the good "first come, first serve" site taken. if there is a way i can hold sites for other "first come, first serve" campers, i'd be happy to do that. i have no problem paying in advance for anyone here. unfortunately, i require a complex diet due to kidney failure, so i'll be out for the group meals. i will however bring plenty...

Great job, Jeff. I have a little story about the B-D battery lock. We ordered one and I (Simon) took it to the trailer to 'eye it up'. Then I got distracted and moved the trailer somewhere else, and, you guessed it, the darn B-D lock fell off where I was 'eyeing it up', never to be seen again. I called B-D and pulled the pity trick and they gave me 10% off a new set. As it happens, I put on a replacement battery box cover this weekend, and replaced the OEM battery box strap with the B-D...

I think I forgot to update but I’ll be in site 118 and will be coming only with my Australian Shepherd as Catherine and the kids are probably going to be going back to visit family in Louisiana along with my son who just returned from Japan/Korea. Looking forward to a quiet weekend.

I was up there last weekend and visited the Aspen Campground. I had a conversation with two very nice ladies at the check-in booth and they confirmed that many sites are left for walk-in campers on a "first come-first served" basis. My suggestion is, like Rob said, get up there Thursday evening or early Friday and get one of those non-reservable sites. It's a beautiful campground on spite of no hookups!

Don't miss out on a chance to share your new trailer and absorb a lot of info from other Lance owners! Come up a bit early (like in the previous posting) and get yourself a site for the weekend. It's a great place to "break in" your new trailer!

Coming up the 6th or 7th to take a shot at the 1st-come sites, staying through the weekend.

Bummer, things always come up when you least expect it. My wife and I go up every month for about 5 days starting on this trip in June. It’s how we beat the heat in Phoenix... i’ll Post our next trip this weekend. Since it is so close to the valley the sites get booked up quickly. Fall could be a really nice trip with the colores changing. These was someone who was coming up and didn’t have a reservation. Rob and Jayne, I want to thank you both for organizing a wonderful getaway for us Arizona Lance Owners. Woods Canyon Lake is now going to be a recurring trip for us. What an outstanding, memorable weekend!! Rob, you hit it out of the park! As you probably assumed, I was intrigued by your photography and the ham radio setup you had up there. It was absolutely fascinating watching your efforts to get the best shots of the birds and the communication with folks all over the western hemisphere via your radio and wire set up in the trees! I truly enjoyed the weekend!!!

You were a welcome addition to the group Lew, you added a lot of spice to our 6pm happy hour. Loved the shot assortment and the girls, what a hit of the gathering.. Thanks for coming Lew!
