Re: Good Sam RV GPS

We've used our Good Sam GPS (5" one) for almost a year now and it does a really nice job. I have a question someone here may have an answer for: The free maps forever thing is nice, even if it is only once a year. I recently hooked mine up to my computer through the "Dock" and it said a map update was available and I'd need a MicroSD card, 8 GB or better, to get it. So I bought the card ($12.95), stuck it in the side when the dock software told me to, it downloaded files totalling over 4 GB,...

Re: Smarter Tools 2000iQ Generator

Oops, I almost forgot a few other modifications/info that you'll need! 1) Generator Hour Meter Link ( easy mod to make, just wrap the wire around the spark plug wire and secure it well) 2) A nice cover (Yamaha 2000 covers fit perfectly!) 3) Link for the dipstick and magnetic plug 4) A few extra Spark Plugs (these are the correct ones) I also broke my generator in, for 20 hours (not all at once) and then I changed the oil (Yamalube) Don't let the burning credit card scorch yer buttocks! And I forgot the most important lesson my husband and I learned...if we ever want to exceed the bank's limit on ATM withdrawals in a 24 hour period, just use a credit card to order from Costco online - of a large purchase - and return the item to Costco. Cash back, no charge! Lee-Ann

Re: SlimPort-to-HDMI adapter for mirroring phone on tv

Red Barchetta ·
nm1oqrz - Nice! In my opinion you couldn't have picked a better phone (at the moment). It is far-and-away the best phone that I have ever owned. Smooth, fast, responsive, perfect screen size (5.5") with almost no wasted real estate around the screen, fits in a front pants pocket, double-tap with your finger to turn it on & off, ... If you have any questions feel free to ask. My first suggestion - take it slow. Here are some things I do with my phone - Calls, email, text, alarm clock,...

Re: Bow to Stern (BTS) Protectant

By all means, please post the code. I think your Lance is looking fantastic for a 2011. Even if I decide not to buy for some reason, it would be nice to have the code just in case. I always hate to give credit card info out over the net, unless I really know the vendor. I noted that they use paypal. How much of the gallon have you used or do you expect to use on this application?

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs

A few final mentions until our next trip - Came up with a better labeling system - white labels inside the sensor caps. Put a reminder in my Google calendar for August 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, & 2022 to place an order for the free replacement batteries & O-rings. Everything is put away in the supplied pouch in the TV waiting for the next trip. The manual (with receipt, proof of purchase card, & notes for the current battery installation date and the 4 sensor assigned locations) is...

Dometic LP GasChecker (LPGC10)

Red Barchetta ·
I recently received a $40.00 Camping World gift card. Not needing anything at the moment (15+ years of trailer camping will do that) I decided to get an ultrasonic LP level gauge. The TRUMA LevelCheck ( http://www.levelcheck.com/us/ ) is pretty pricey as well as CW doesn't carry it. So I picked up the cheaper unit - a Dometic LP GasChecker: Website - http://www.dometic.com/USA/New...ucts/LP-Gas-Checker/ & Video - http://link.brightcove.com/ser...;bctid=3665167733001 $42.12. $2.12 of...

The receptacles are 20 amp. Page 12 of the manual.(or look at the plug-NEMA 20 amp ) No need for the companion unless you are paralleling 2 generators or like the twistlok 30 amp plug.

Ring Video Doorbell and Alarm Systems

Peaceful Hikes NJ ·
Ring products are becoming more prevalent for home protection. While I use them, I am not a Ring spokesperson or rep, in any way. I buy what I use. I've have two security systems for my home, ADT (traditional) and Ring (video). But it is the Ring system that I am adapting to my Lance 1685, as I had some extra Ring products, because of upgrades. Right now, I have just the Ring Video Doorbell (Second Generation), which operates on battery and solar, on my trailer. The pros of such a system is...
