We gave them a serious look and rode several belonging to friends, but decided they weren't for us. They're ideal for the contemplated uses on paved roads around the campgrounds. A big part of our biking is taking advantage of the many improved bike trails around the country, however. We found that even with gears, they are problematic off the pavement- even on improved gravel trails. The issue is the small wheels, which are severely affected by ruts, rocks and soft spots. Yes, Erick. I made from galvanized tin, a ground plane plate. It holds the magnetic antenna. It is about 14 inches in diameter and flat like a pizza pan. It just sets whereever I want the antenna for the moment. I have two ways of moving it about on the roof. I open the escape hatch over the bed and set it somewhere I can reach, sometimes on the top of the air conditioner. WIth no luck there, I climbed the ladder and tried it in back of the camper. Almost always, the escape hatch trick works...

Used to use Camco plastic pads and later installed BAL feet like @Duckman . I typically use both now, but depending on terrain I may also use some stall mat squares.

2 weeks ago we rode the bike trail around the city of Sioux Falls SD, 22.5 miles it was amazing. We stayed in pedal assist 1 for about half of the ride, but when we got out into the open we were forced to use the juice. There was a 25mph sustained wind that day and we had a headwind and a crosswind for about a third of the ride. We are pretty flat for the most part where we live so brakes haven't been an issue yet.
