Reply to "Puck lights wired incorrectly and light not working"

I'm a little confused. Your trailer is a 2019 and the light was just now found to be inoperative? Original owner? I ask because maybe some work was done in the ceiling or to another light and the wiring was pulled, causing the wire to come out of the connector (or loosened, overheated, and become disconnected). I'm not sure why there'd be burning, unless the exposed wire was the 12VDC hot wire and some way contacted ground or the 12VDC negative wire. Have any lighting fuses operated?  I understand the exposed burns melted and there is insufficient slack in the wire to just strip a little insulation and reconnect?? Bottom line, I'd use common automotive electrical parts/wiring to facilitate repairs. I'd also check wiring at other near-by lights—is one picture of a good light?
