Bow to Stern (BTS) Protectant

The following is an unsolicited unpaid product endorsement of Bow to Stern (BTS) Protectant...

As mentioned in my prior thread linked below, my plan had been to use BTS in combo with partial coverage (shade cloth) over my Lance 1685 TT to minimize UV sun damage while aiding in removal of falling Ponderosa Pine sap. A good buddy of mine with a Casita TT swears by BTS (Casita being quite "boat-like in construction) which convinced me to give it a try. I won't be totally finished with the project until tomorrow but let me just say that halfway through, I'm well pleased.

My trailer purchased last month was lightly used by the original owners, however storage uncovered while exposed to AZ desert sun showed its effects on exterior siding, including graphic decals. OK, so I ordered a gallon on BTS which arrived yesterday. This morning, I started by using a bottle of Star Brite cleaner/wax on hand from my own former Casita. Surprisingly and happily, the stuff removed light oxidation in one hand-rubbed application. Today, I did the curbside, backside and aft side behind slideout. I'll complete the remainder tomorrow. Following that, I wiped on 3 coats of BTS while letting it air dry between coats. The 4th time was simply burnishing dried surfaces with a clean dry microfiber cloth. Easy-peasy...

An amazing aspect related to the backside, where the selling dealership had applied their decals and logo (I hate when they do that). Those had baked on, so I removed a bunch of letters and shapes with fingernails and Go Gone (while minimizing contact with Lance graphics as best possible). As expected, doing that removed obvious evidence plus sticky adhesive but left bright white "ghosting" of removed letters in relief to surrounding yellowed siding. As I applied each coat of BTS, that ghosting seems to dissipate and was all but gone by 3rd application. Seems this stuff does more than protect, since neither industrial strength citrus cleaner or Goo Gone dealt with that ghosting. Wow, I'm sold!

BTW - prior to ordering, I wrote to BTS asking if there was a promo code available for a discount since none could be found on the 'net. Response provided a code for 20% off which essentially paid for shipping. They said I could "share with my friends - expires end of the year". Um, LOA members are my "friends", so let me know if you'd like me to post it here.
