I have a little story about the B-D battery lock. We ordered one and I (Simon) took it to the trailer to 'eye it up'. Then I got distracted and moved the trailer somewhere else, and, you guessed it, the darn B-D lock fell off where I was 'eyeing it up', never to be seen again. I called B-D and pulled the pity trick and they gave me 10% off a new set.

As it happens, I put on a replacement battery box cover this weekend, and replaced the OEM battery box strap strap with the B-D lock. Exactly the same way that Jeff did it. Why so long? 'Cuz the previous bike rack didn't allow room for the B-D lock around the battery.

I see that people are getting wiser, I'm glad that you folks are securing your assets. As I mentioned in one of my previous post, I might have to change the battery rack. The group 27 batteries are longer they take more room on the rack. I will have to relocate it like Jeff did, but the problem I can foresee is that the head of the self taping bolt might cause a high point on the battery case while putting on the bracket. This I don't know how to address?
